Registration
How do I get the membership registration rate?
To receive the membership rate for the gathering, you must maintain an active certification and an active membership account with the Scrum Alliance. Your discount code can be obtained by logging in to your member dashboard at www.scrumalliance.org, navigating to "Discounts for Gathering & Event Registrations", and entering the promo code during registration.
What benefits do I receive as a non-member when attending the Global Scrum Gathering Munich?
After attending Global Scrum Gathering Munich, non-members will receive a two-year Scrum Alliance membership! This gives you access to exclusive member benefits, including discounts on Scrum Alliance microcredentials and events, and access to resources, networking opportunities, and tools to support your agile journey after the conference.
Are you offering group discounts?
We have group discounts available for 3 or more individuals to receive 10% off their Global Scrum Gathering registration. Please reach out to gsgmun25@scrumalliance.org if interested.
Why is Value Added Tax (VAT) being charged on my ticket, even though my organization is a non-profit or already pays VAT in Germany?
VAT is being charged on your ticket because of the specific VAT regulations for events and conferences. The taxable jurisdiction is determined by the location of the event. Since the Global Scrum Gathering is being held in Germany, German VAT applies to all ticket purchases.
The reverse charge mechanism, which allows VAT to be accounted for by the customer in many cases, does not apply to event tickets under these rules. This means that even non-profit organizations or entities already registered for VAT in Germany must pay the applicable German VAT.

What meals are included?
Breakfast is included in the hotel room rate. Lunch and snacks are included and will be served on-site during the event. Yes! Transportation to Monday Mingle will be provided. Buses will arrive at the hotel to take you there. Details on the bus departure time will be provided closer to the event.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
Scrum Alliance, Inc. (referred to herein as “we” or “us” or “Scrum Alliance” or “SAI”) understands that we’re living in a time of uncertainty, and making plans can be challenging. While tickets are generally non-refundable, if you cannot attend the Global Scrum Gathering for any reason, you are welcome to substitute the name on your ticket with another attendee for no additional fee as long as the substitute qualifies for the same type of registration (member vs. non-member). If the substitute attendee does not qualify for your ticket type, an additional fee or refund may be available, at SAI’s option.
Refunds for medical cases, visa challenges, and bereavement will be considered on a case-by-case basis, provided that Scrum Alliance may require documentation to validate the reasons for cancellation. Requests for refunds must be made at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the event start time.
In the unlikely event that Scrum Alliance should have to cancel the gathering, all attendee tickets will be refunded.
Event conduct policy
This Policy applies to all delegates, attendees, speakers, exhibitors, organizers, staff, and volunteers (collectively referred to in this Policy as “participants”) who attend or participate in Scrum Alliance sponsored Gatherings, Group Events, Clinics, Retreats, User Groups, Community forums, or other virtual or in-person events sponsored by Scrum Alliance (collectively, “events”). Additionally, all participants attending events in person will be expected to adhere to venue rules and any COVID or similar policies at the time of the event.
The event is intended for knowledge sharing, career development, continuing education, and professional networking. It is not intended for self-promotion or marketing of goods or services. While participants are free to discuss their professional background and experience, please refrain from promoting any particular services, whether or not related to scrum and agile practices.
Unauthorized video or live streaming of the event is not permitted. Participants may use reasonable discretion in taking limited photographs of the event, provided that it is the participant’s sole responsibility to obtain any necessary consents or releases in connection with any photographs of other individuals, including speakers, volunteers, and other attendees. The Film and Photo Release Policy below applies only to official photographs and video taken by Scrum Alliance.
Disorderly conduct
Scrum Alliance prohibits disorderly conduct and any form of harassment, sexual or otherwise. Accordingly, some behaviors are specifically prohibited, whether directed at other participants, Scrum Alliance staff, speakers, volunteers, or event venue staff:
Participants asked to stop engaging in disorderly, hostile, or harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event, at Scrum Alliance’s sole discretion.
Harassment or other violations of this Conduct Policy should be reported immediately to Scrum Alliance event staff at conductreview@scrumalliance.org. Scrum Alliance may involve event security and/or local law enforcement, as appropriate based on the specific circumstances. Participants must also cooperate with any Scrum Alliance investigation into reports of a violation of this Conduct Policy by providing the information requested by Scrum Alliance that is relevant to Scrum Alliance's investigation.
Scrum Alliance reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove any individual from attendance or other participation in any Scrum Alliance-sponsored event without prior warning or refund. If Scrum Alliance, in its reasonable judgment, determines that an individual has violated this Conduct Policy, Scrum Alliance may also prohibit the individual from attending or participating in future Scrum Alliance events. No refund will be issued.
